Metamorphic Asia Report

Metamorphic Asia programs started 2013 on a high and finished the same way with a total of 46 new Churches being planted across Asia as well as another 20,000 people receiving access to safe clean water and sanitation facilities for the first time ever.

At the end of 2013 the team spent time in Cambodia mentoring the 2012 and 2013 Church Planting classes as well as training 22 brand new Social Entrepreneurs in Myanmar who have since headed back to their communities to plant a Church, implement a community development project and initiate a business that adds value to their community. It was exciting to see the success of many of the mentoring students whose churches have grown significantly as they add value to their community. One young Church planter is now providing solar energy to his entire community as part of his business and community development plan, while another has mobilized his community to repair bridges and roads, yet another Church planter has just planted his fourth Church in 12 months.

Our Metamorphic Asia team has continued to build its capacity with Ra and Phealy taking on larger training loads and more responsibility with an eye towards the future. In addition to this, Meta Asia has launched its first business, manufacturing concrete building materials that will assist us to create financial sustainability in the coming years while complementing our concrete well projects at the same time. A new member, Nuam, has been added to our Myanmar team and will spend a week in Cambodia early this year undergoing training for her role.

In 2014 we will continue to run programs in Myanmar and Cambodia with opportunities to work in Nepal and the Philippines also high on the agenda. Once again thank you to all our donors, supporters and prayer partners who have contributed to another highly successful year. We look forward to an even bigger and better 2014.
